Problem

Difficulty in symptom understanding and assessment leads to delayed medical intervention and unnecessary healthcare visits. Limited access to timely healthcare services and low health literacy contribute to challenges in effective self-care.

Solution

Implement a user-friendly symptom assessment app empowering individuals for self-assessment. The app offers personalized guidance on seeking medical attention, integrates with telehealth for remote consultations, enhances health literacy through education, and provides self-care tips and at-home treatments for common ailments.

For secondary research in the healthcare domain, I extensively consult recent and reputable articles, publications, and research papers. I focus on gathering insights related to various facets of healthcare, including health literacy, preventive healthcare practices, and the integration of technology in the healthcare landscape.

Some of the questions asked during user interviews included:

  2. What challenges or difficulties do you encounter when trying to understand and interpret your symptoms?

After gathering user data, I utilized card sorting to categorize and identify themes in the information.

This helped me generate problem statements that highlight specific challenges or issues identified through user data.

The app's search feature allows users to explore information on any health condition. Users can enter a symptom or condition, and the app provides details on causes, prevention, treatments, symptoms, and when to consult a doctor.

The app's test process involves users answering questions about symptoms, providing a detailed overview of potential causes and treatment. The app will provide users care tips , home remedies and personalized recommendations for suitable doctors .
